Market Analysis & Outlook
Touchscreen gloves are winter and cold-weather hand coverings built with conductive fibers or coated fingertips that let the wearer operate a smartphone, tablet or other capacitive touchscreen without removing the glove. They are sold as standalone accessory items in single layered, lightweight constructions and double layered, more insulated constructions, made from fleece, knit, synthetic or leather materials. Buyers include everyday commuters, outdoor and winter sports participants, and workers such as delivery and logistics staff who need to operate handheld scanners or phones while working outdoors in the cold.
The global touch screen glove market stood at USD 428 million in 2025. A forecast-period rate of 6.77% takes it to USD 763 million by 2034, and the study reports every year in between, passing USD 300 million in 2020, USD 397 million in 2024, USD 452 million in 2026 and USD 582 million in 2030.
The type mix shifts over the period. Single Layered Touchscreen Gloves is the largest line in 2025 at USD 240.9 million, a 56.3% share, moving to USD 351 million and 46% by 2034. Double Layered Touchscreen Gloves grows fastest at 9.27%, taking its share from 43.7% to 54%, while Single Layered Touchscreen Gloves grows slowest at 4.37%. Share moves toward Double Layered Touchscreen Gloves and away from Single Layered Touchscreen Gloves, though no line shrinks in revenue terms.
By application, Men accounts for 46% of 2025 revenue at USD 196.9 million, reaching USD 335.7 million and 44% by 2034. Children grows faster at 7.58% against 6.11%, moving from 12% of revenue to 13% by 2034. This axis divides the same revenue as the type split instead of adding to it, so the two are read together and never summed.
USD 146.4 million of 2025 revenue is generated in North America, 34.2% of the global total and the largest regional share; it reaches USD 236.5 million by 2034. Europe is next at 31.6% and USD 135.1 million, and Middle East and Africa last at 4%. Share shifts toward Asia Pacific over the forecast period, so the regional split repays a close reading.
The 2025 total is derived from analogues in adjacent categories, so it should be read as indicative, not settled. Segment, regional and country splits are estimated on the same basis, which bounds the precision of the figures above. Coverage runs to five regions, two type lines and five segmentation axes across a fifteen-year window.

Key Takeaways
- Revenue grows from USD 428 million in 2025 to USD 763 million in 2034, a compound annual rate of 6.77%, having reached USD 397 million in 2024 from USD 300 million in 2020.
- 56.3% of 2025 revenue sits in Single Layered Touchscreen Gloves (USD 240.9 million) and it remains the largest type line in 2034 at USD 351 million and 46%.
- Double Layered Touchscreen Gloves is the fastest-growing line at 9.27%, lifting its share from 43.7% in 2025 to 54% in 2034 and its revenue from USD 187.1 million to USD 412 million.
- The bull case puts 2034 revenue at USD 854.6 million and the bear case at USD 671.4 million, either side of the USD 763 million base case, each with its own stated assumption in the full report.
- 34.2% of 2025 revenue is generated in North America, worth USD 146.4 million and rising to USD 236.5 million by 2034; Middle East and Africa is smallest at 4%.
- 85% of North America's base-year revenue comes from the United States alone: USD 124.4 million in 2025, rising to USD 201 million by 2034, which is why it is that region's worked example.
- Every line on all five segmentation axes and in each of the five regions carries its own revenue, share and growth rate for all fifteen years, 2020 through 2034, on a 2025 base.
Market Trends
Revenue Share, By By Type
Base year 2025Single Layered Touchscreen Gloves leads with 56.3% of by type segment revenue.
Share of by type segment revenue, most recent base year.
Three things move over 2026-2034, and they are worth separating: the type mix, the regional balance, and the 6.77% compounding underneath both.
Not one of them points downward. Growth is everywhere in absolute terms, and the interest is entirely in where it lands.
The type mix tilts toward Double Layered Touchscreen Gloves. The widest spread on the type axis is between Double Layered Touchscreen Gloves at 9.27% and Single Layered Touchscreen Gloves at 4.37%. Double Layered Touchscreen Gloves takes its share of revenue from 43.7% to 54% while Single Layered Touchscreen Gloves gives up ground, from 56.3% to 46%. The revenue figures behind that are USD 187.1 million to USD 412 million and USD 240.9 million to USD 351 million. Both expand; where a supplier sits on the axis still decides whether it tracks the market.
Regional weight shifts toward Asia Pacific. Asia Pacific moves from 24.2% of revenue in 2025 to 30% in 2034, worth USD 103.6 million rising to USD 228.9 million. The remaining regions grow in absolute terms while giving up share: North America at 34.2% moving to 31%, Europe at 31.6% moving to 29%, Latin America at 6% moving to 6%, Middle East and Africa at 4% moving to 4%. That makes the regional split worth reading directly instead of scaling from the global rate: the same market rate produces different outcomes depending on where a supplier's revenue sits.
A continuation, not an inflection. Reading the series: USD 300 million in 2020, USD 397 million in 2024, USD 428 million in 2025, USD 452 million in 2026, USD 582 million in 2030 and USD 763 million in 2034. No year breaks the trajectory, and the 6.77% forecast rate compares with 7.37% recorded over 2020-2025, a continuation, not an inflection. For a participant that makes planning a question of capturing a share of steady expansion instead of timing a discontinuity, and it is why the type and regional mixes matter more to a forecast than the headline rate does.
Market Growth Factors
The fastest line decides the blended rate
Market Drivers
3- 01The fastest line decides the blended rate
The fastest line on the type axis is Double Layered Touchscreen Gloves, at 9.27% against the market's 6.77%, taking USD 187.1 million to USD 412 million and 43.7% of revenue to 54%. Set against 4.37% at the other end of the axis, this is the line that decides whether the market's 6.77% holds. A portfolio weighted away from it tracks below the market even in a market growing everywhere.
- 02Regional weight, not regional count
North America is the largest region at USD 146.4 million in 2025, 34.2% of global revenue, and reaches USD 236.5 million by 2034 while holding 31%. Behind it, Europe holds 31.6%; USD 135.1 million rising to USD 221.3 million. Between them they hold most of the base and most of the revenue added over the period, so equal-weighting the regions in a plan misstates where the growth is.
- 03Fifteen years of unbroken growth underpin the forecast
USD 300 million in 2020, USD 397 million in 2024 and USD 428 million in 2025: 7.37% compound growth before the forecast period even begins. The forecast continues at 6.77% to USD 763 million in 2034. Fifteen years of unbroken growth in the series means the forecast rests on a demonstrated trajectory, not a projected turnaround, and it is why the 6.77% rate is applied flat across the whole period instead of ramped through it.

Restraints
| # | Restraint | Impact | Estimated reduction (Million) | 2026-28 | 2029-31 | 2032-34 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Price sensitivity and availability of low-cost non-touchscreen glove substitutes | Medium | −35 | Medium | Medium | Medium |

Drivers contribute 395 Million and restraints remove 60 Million, a net 335 Million, which is the revenue the market adds between the base year and 2034. Contributions are CDI estimates, apportioned so that they reconcile with the forecast rather than being read from it.
Separate the 6.77% into its parts and three show up: an already-large base compounding, the type mix moving toward its faster lines, and regional growth landing unevenly.
Restraining Factors
What holds the forecast back
Market Restraints
2- 01What holds the forecast back
A bear case of USD 671.4 million in 2034, against USD 763 million in the base case, rests on one stated assumption: the bear case assumes cold-weather apparel demand softens and buyers substitute cheaper non-touchscreen gloves paired with capacitive-stylus workarounds, slowing the shift to dedicated touchscreen gloves. Neither case changes the USD 428 million 2025 base.
- 02Single Layered Touchscreen Gloves holds the blended rate down
With 56.3% of 2025 revenue (USD 240.9 million) Single Layered Touchscreen Gloves is where most of the market sits, and it grows at only 4.37% against the market's 6.77%. Revenue still reaches USD 351 million by 2034 and share still falls to 46%: a drag on the average, not a decline.
Market Opportunities
What the bull case turns on
Market Opportunities
2- 01What the bull case turns on
A bull case of USD 854.6 million by 2034, against USD 763 million in the base case, turns on a single stated assumption: the bull case assumes faster replacement of plain winter gloves with touchscreen-compatible versions and stronger online channel growth that pulls purchases forward across the forecast. The USD 428 million 2025 base is common to both.
- 02The opening is on the type axis, not the regional one
Share on the type axis moves toward Double Layered Touchscreen Gloves, from 43.7% in 2025 to 54% in 2034, on 9.27% growth against the market's 6.77% and revenue rising from USD 187.1 million to USD 412 million. Taking position there does not require displacing whoever holds Single Layered Touchscreen Gloves, which is the harder and more expensive fight.
Market Challenges
The total depends on a single line
Market Challenges
2- 01The total depends on a single line
USD 240.9 million of 2025 revenue sits in Single Layered Touchscreen Gloves, 56.3% of the total, and it is still 46% at USD 351 million nine years later. That concentration means the market's own forecast is, to a large extent, a forecast for one type line.
- 02The United States is 85% of North America
North America is worth USD 146.4 million in 2025 and USD 124.4 million of that is the United States; 85% of the region, reaching USD 201 million in 2034. Regional totals therefore move largely with one country's demand, so a regional forecast is more exposed to single-country conditions than its size alone suggests.
Segmentation Analysis
5 axesThe market is divided by type and by application, material, distribution channel and end use; five axes in all. Every one of them divides the same revenue, which makes them views of one market from different commercial angles, not components of it.
Two type lines are reported. One of them takes share over the forecast period and the other gives it up, though every line grows in absolute terms between 2025 and 2034.

| Double Layered Touchscreen Gloves | $187M | 43.7% | $412M | 54%+10.3 | 9.3% |
Single layered gloves lead because they cost less to manufacture and match the thin, dexterous fit consumers expect from an everyday accessory, making them the default pick for casual buyers. Double layered gloves are growing fastest as colder-climate consumers prioritize insulation without giving up touchscreen use, and outdoor and workwear brands increasingly build touchscreen capability into their warmer, multi-layer glove lines rather than treating it as a separate product. Leadership changes hands: Double Layered Touchscreen Gloves is the largest line by 2034, not Single Layered Touchscreen Gloves. Every year of the series is priced on this axis, making it the reference cut for the rest of the report.

| Children | $51.40M | 12% | $99.20M | 13%+1 | 7.6% |
Men's gloves lead because outdoor work, commuting and sports gear purchases have historically skewed toward men's sizing and channel placement. Children's gloves are growing fastest as parents increasingly expect school-age outerwear to support tablet and phone use, and cold-climate schools normalize touchscreen-compatible winter gloves as a standard back-to-school purchase rather than a specialty item. Men remains the largest line through 2034, so the axis changes in proportion, not in order.

Fleece and knit blends lead because they deliver the stretch and thin profile touchscreen gloves need at the lowest cost, keeping them the default fabric for mass-market lines. Synthetic and nylon builds are growing fastest as brands add windproof and water-resistant shells to touchscreen gloves aimed at commuters and outdoor users, a combination fleece alone cannot offer. The order does not change: Fleece/Knit is still largest in 2034, and what moves is how much it holds.

Online retail leads and is growing fastest because touchscreen gloves are a simple, size-standard accessory that buyers are comfortable ordering without trying on, and outdoor and electronics retailers increasingly route inventory through their own webstores. Specialty sports and outdoor stores stay relevant for buyers who want to test grip and touchscreen sensitivity before purchase, but that share is shrinking as online reviews substitute for in-store trial. The order does not change: Online Retail is still largest in 2034, and what moves is how much it holds.

| Military & Tactical | $34.20M | 8% | $53.40M | 7%-1 | 5.1% |
Everyday commuting leads because most buyers pick up touchscreen gloves to keep using a phone on a cold commute rather than for a dedicated sport or job. Industrial and logistics work is growing fastest as delivery, warehouse and cold-chain employers standardize touchscreen-compatible gloves for scanner and handheld-device use, a workplace requirement that did not exist at meaningful scale a decade ago. By 2034 Everyday Commuting is still ahead, making this a shift in weight, not a change of leader.

34.2% of the global touch screen glove market sits in North America in 2025, worth USD 146.4 million rising to USD 236.5 million in 2034. By revenue it sits first across the study, and the ranking does not change between 2025 and 2034.
Share settles at 31% in 2034, while nothing contracts here; other regions simply grow faster, which shows up as relative weight, not as falling revenue.
Segment composition follows the global pattern: Single Layered Touchscreen Gloves largest at 56.3% of 2025 revenue, Double Layered Touchscreen Gloves fastest at 9.27%. The full report breaks North America out along every axis and by country.
United States

- Revenue $124M → $201M
The largest single market in North America is the United States, at USD 124.4 million in 2025 and USD 201 million in 2034. At 85% of regional revenue in the base year it is not one market among several, the region's trajectory is largely this country's trajectory. Regional revenue of USD 146.4 million in 2025 and USD 236.5 million in 2034 sits around it, and it is the country used wherever the full report cuts a figure by geography.
the United States buys along the same lines as the market globally; Single Layered Touchscreen Gloves first at 56.3% of 2025 revenue and 46% in 2034, Double Layered Touchscreen Gloves fastest at 9.27% on a share moving from 43.7% to 54%. Because the country carries 85% of North America, a movement in its own mix shows up in the regional totals instead of being averaged away by neighbouring markets. Revenue by type for the United States is reported separately in the full report.
Touch screen gloves sold in the United States are treated as general consumer or workwear goods rather than medical or safety-critical devices, so oversight falls to the Consumer Product Safety Commission's general product safety framework rather than to any device-specific authority. A supplier must ensure the gloves carry no deceptive claims about conductivity or touch performance, meet flammability and material-safety expectations that apply to textile and glove products broadly, and provide accurate country-of-origin and fiber-content labelling under Federal Trade Commission rules. Where a glove is marketed for cold-weather or industrial use alongside its touch-capable feature, any safety or thermal claims must be substantiated. Import compliance further requires customs documentation consistent with the product's textile or leather classification, with no separate approval or registration step required before sale.
Competition in the United States runs between the suppliers this study tracks: Mujjo, Agloves, The North Face, Moshi Digits, 180s Sustain and Nanotips. Single Layered Touchscreen Gloves, at 56.3% of 2025 revenue, is where the volume sits, and Double Layered Touchscreen Gloves, growing at 9.27%, is where position changes hands over the forecast period. Per-company positioning and share at country level are in the full report only.

Share settles at 29% in 2034, while nothing contracts here; other regions simply grow faster, which shows up as relative weight, not as falling revenue.
Within the region the type split tracks the global one; 56.3% of 2025 revenue in Single Layered Touchscreen Gloves, fastest growth of 9.27% in Double Layered Touchscreen Gloves. Revenue for Europe is broken out by every segmentation axis and by country in the full report.
Germany
The largest market in Europe, growing 1.6×.
- In region 1 of 3
- Of region 30%
- Of global 9.5%
- Revenue $40.50M → $66.40M
The largest single market in Europe is Germany, at USD 40.5 million in 2025 and USD 66.4 million in 2034. Its 30% of base-year regional revenue leads the region, though enough sits elsewhere that Europe is not a proxy for it. The region itself runs USD 135.1 million to USD 221.3 million over the same period, and this is the market carrying the country-level detail in the full report.
Demand in Germany follows the type mix reported at global level: Single Layered Touchscreen Gloves is the largest line at 56.3% of 2025 revenue, moving to 46% by 2034, while Double Layered Touchscreen Gloves grows fastest at 9.27% and takes its share from 43.7% to 54%. Because the country carries 30% of Europe, a movement in its own mix shows up in the regional totals instead of being averaged away by neighbouring markets. Germany carries its own type breakdown in the full report.
As an EU member state, Germany applies the General Product Safety framework to touch screen gloves, requiring that any risk to the wearer, from entanglement, chemical residue, or poor thermal performance, be assessed and mitigated before the product reaches the market. A supplier must affix CE marking where the glove falls within scope of harmonised standards for protective or textile clothing, maintain technical documentation demonstrating conformity, and ensure fibre-content and care labelling meet EU textile labelling rules. If the glove is promoted with any protective function beyond touch conductivity, such as cut or cold resistance, it may additionally fall under personal protective equipment conformity assessment, which raises the documentation and testing burden considerably. German market surveillance authorities can request conformity files at any time and withdraw non-conforming stock from sale.
The suppliers tracked in this study (Mujjo, Agloves, The North Face, Moshi Digits, 180s Sustain and Nanotips) compete in Germany across the type lines above. Volume sits in Single Layered Touchscreen Gloves at 56.3% of 2025 revenue; movement sits in Double Layered Touchscreen Gloves at 9.27% growth. The commercial size of that position is USD 135.1 million in 2025 and USD 221.3 million by 2034, 31.6% of the global total in the base year.

Within Europe, France accounts for 18% of regional revenue and 5.7% of the global total, worth USD 24.3 million in 2025 and USD 39.8 million by 2034.
Asia Pacific Market Analysis
The 3rd-largest region covered, and the one gaining the most — it picks up 5.8 points of share by 2034, while revenue still grows 2.2×.
- Rank 3 of 5
- 2025 share 24.2%
- By 2034 30%
- Revenue $104M → $229M
Asia Pacific holds 24.2% of the global touch screen glove market in 2025, worth USD 103.6 million on the way to USD 228.9 million by 2034. That makes it the third-largest region covered, in 2025 and again in 2034.
By 2034 the share has moved up to 30%, at a pace above the 6.77% global rate, so this region warrants separate treatment and should not be scaled off the total.
The type mix reported at global level applies here, with Single Layered Touchscreen Gloves the largest line at 56.3% of 2025 revenue and Double Layered Touchscreen Gloves the fastest-growing at 9.27%. Revenue for Asia Pacific is broken out by every segmentation axis and by country in the full report.

USD 41.4 million of Asia Pacific's 2025 revenue is generated in China, the region's largest market, reaching USD 91.6 million by 2034. 40% of the region in the base year makes it the largest market here without making it the region. Set against USD 103.6 million and USD 228.9 million for the region, it is why this market, and not a smaller one, is the one reported in full.
Demand in China follows the type mix reported at global level: Single Layered Touchscreen Gloves is the largest line at 56.3% of 2025 revenue, moving to 46% by 2034, while Double Layered Touchscreen Gloves grows fastest at 9.27% and takes its share from 43.7% to 54%. Since 40% of Asia Pacific's revenue is generated here, the regional numbers inherit this market's mix instead of smoothing it out. The full report reports China by type separately.
Touch screen gloves sold in China fall under the general consumer product oversight of the State Administration for Market Regulation, which enforces national standards covering textile safety, dye and chemical content, and accurate product labelling. A supplier must ensure the glove's fabric and any conductive thread or coating meet national textile safety limits for restricted substances, and that labelling correctly discloses fibre composition, care instructions, and manufacturer identity in Chinese. Products marketed with protective claims beyond touch functionality may need to demonstrate conformity to relevant national safety standards before distribution. Export-oriented manufacturers separately need to meet the import requirements of the destination market, since a China-based supplier's domestic compliance does not substitute for foreign regulatory acceptance.
Competition in China runs between the suppliers this study tracks: Mujjo, Agloves, The North Face, Moshi Digits, 180s Sustain and Nanotips. Two different problems sit on the same axis: holding Single Layered Touchscreen Gloves at 56.3% of 2025 revenue, and taking Double Layered Touchscreen Gloves while it grows at 9.27%. That makes Asia Pacific a 24.2% share of 2025 global revenue, USD 103.6 million rising to USD 228.9 million, for any supplier deciding where to concentrate.

Latin America Market Analysis
The 4th-largest region covered, holding its share flat through 2034, while revenue still grows 1.8×.
- Rank 4 of 5
- 2025 share 6%
- By 2034 6%
- Revenue $25.70M → $45.80M
In Latin America, 6% of global revenue puts 2025 at USD 25.7 million rising to USD 45.8 million in 2034. That makes it the fourth-largest region covered, in 2025 and again in 2034.
By 2034 the share stands at 6%, and the region keeps growing in absolute terms while others expand faster, a change in relative weight, not a decline in demand.
Single Layered Touchscreen Gloves leads here as it does globally, at 56.3% of 2025 revenue, and Double Layered Touchscreen Gloves again grows fastest at 9.27%. The full report breaks Latin America out along every axis and by country.
Brazil
The largest market in Latin America, growing 1.8×.
- In region 1 of 2
- Of region 47.9%
- Of global 2.9%
- Revenue $12.30M → $22M
The largest single market in Latin America is Brazil, at USD 12.3 million in 2025 and USD 22 million in 2034. 47.9% of the region in the base year makes it the largest market here without making it the region. Set against USD 25.7 million and USD 45.8 million for the region, it is why this market, and not a smaller one, is the one reported in full.
Demand in Brazil follows the type mix reported at global level: Single Layered Touchscreen Gloves is the largest line at 56.3% of 2025 revenue, moving to 46% by 2034, while Double Layered Touchscreen Gloves grows fastest at 9.27% and takes its share from 43.7% to 54%. Its 47.9% weight in Latin America means those movements carry straight into the regional totals. Per-type revenue for Brazil appears on its own in the full report.
In Brazil, touch screen gloves are regulated as a general consumer good under the National Consumer Protection Code, with technical oversight from INMETRO where the product is deemed to require conformity certification. A supplier must ensure labelling in Portuguese discloses material composition, care instructions, and manufacturer or importer details, and must be able to demonstrate that any conductive material used does not pose a chemical or physical hazard to the wearer. Where the glove is marketed with a thermal or protective function in addition to touch capability, INMETRO certification requirements for protective apparel may apply, adding testing and registration steps ahead of sale. Customs clearance further requires correct tariff classification and documentation consistent with the product's textile origin.
Mujjo, Agloves, The North Face, Moshi Digits, 180s Sustain and Nanotips are the suppliers covered in Brazil. Volume sits in Single Layered Touchscreen Gloves at 56.3% of 2025 revenue; movement sits in Double Layered Touchscreen Gloves at 9.27% growth. The commercial size of that position is USD 25.7 million in 2025 and USD 45.8 million by 2034, 6% of the global total in the base year.

1.9% of global revenue is generated in Mexico; USD 8.2 million in 2025, reaching USD 14.7 million in 2034, and 31.9% of Latin America.
Middle East and Africa Market Analysis
The 5th-largest region covered, holding its share flat through 2034, while revenue still grows 1.8×.
- Rank 5 of 5
- 2025 share 4%
- By 2034 4%
- Revenue $17.10M → $30.50M
In Middle East and Africa, 4% of global revenue puts 2025 at USD 17.1 million on the way to USD 30.5 million by 2034. Among the five regions it ranks fifth by revenue in both years.
Its share moves to 4% by 2034, though revenue still rises throughout; the shift is in the region's weight against faster-growing ones, which is not the same as weakening demand.
Within the region the type split tracks the global one; 56.3% of 2025 revenue in Single Layered Touchscreen Gloves, fastest growth of 9.27% in Double Layered Touchscreen Gloves. Revenue for Middle East and Africa is broken out by every segmentation axis and by country in the full report.
South Africa
The largest market in Middle East and Africa, growing 1.8×.
- In region 1 of 2
- Of region 35.1%
- Of global 1.4%
- Revenue $6M → $10.70M
The largest single market in Middle East and Africa is South Africa, at USD 6 million in 2025 and USD 10.7 million in 2034. It accounts for 35.1% of regional revenue in the base year, the largest single share without dominating the region outright. Set against USD 17.1 million and USD 30.5 million for the region, it is why this market, and not a smaller one, is the one reported in full.
The type pattern in South Africa is the global one: 56.3% of 2025 revenue in Single Layered Touchscreen Gloves, 46% by 2034, against 9.27% growth in Double Layered Touchscreen Gloves taking it from 43.7% to 54%. Because the country carries 35.1% of Middle East and Africa, a movement in its own mix shows up in the regional totals instead of being averaged away by neighbouring markets. The full report reports South Africa by type separately.
Touch screen gloves entering the South African market are governed by the Consumer Protection Act and the general safety standards administered by the National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications, which covers textile and apparel goods sold to consumers. A supplier must ensure garments are free of hazardous substances, carry accurate labelling of fibre content and care instructions, and make no unsubstantiated claims about conductivity or protective performance. Where a glove is imported rather than locally manufactured, the importer bears responsibility for confirming the product meets these consumer safety expectations before it reaches retail. No dedicated approval process exists for touch-capable gloves specifically, so compliance is assessed within the broader framework applied to protective and general apparel.
Competition in South Africa runs between the suppliers this study tracks: Mujjo, Agloves, The North Face, Moshi Digits, 180s Sustain and Nanotips. The commercially relevant division is 56.3% of 2025 revenue in Single Layered Touchscreen Gloves, where the volume is, against 9.27% growth in Double Layered Touchscreen Gloves, where share moves. The commercial size of that position is USD 17.1 million in 2025 and USD 30.5 million by 2034, 4% of the global total in the base year.

Competitive Landscape
Suppliers Compete on Single Layered Touchscreen Gloves Volume and Double Layered Touchscreen Gloves Momentum
Suppliers in scope: Mujjo, Agloves, The North Face, Moshi Digits, 180s Sustain and Nanotips.
The competitive line that matters is the type one, not the geographic one. 56.3% of 2025 revenue, worth USD 240.9 million, is in Single Layered Touchscreen Gloves, still 46% of the total in 2034; that is the position least likely to change hands. Share moves in Double Layered Touchscreen Gloves, growing 9.27% against 4.37% for Single Layered Touchscreen Gloves. Holding the first and taking the second are separate capabilities, which is why a market of USD 428 million supports as many suppliers as it does.
In this market, differentiation rests on conductive fingertip technology and how well it holds up through washing and repeated cold-weather wear, not on price alone. The largest players are established outdoor and sportswear brands that bundle touchscreen capability into cold-weather product lines buyers already purchase for warmth, giving them retail distribution reach and existing customer relationships that a new entrant cannot easily replicate. Dedicated glove specialists compete instead on fit, durability and design focus, building loyalty through direct online sales and repeat purchase rather than shelf presence. Smaller and regional suppliers compete mainly on price and niche channel relationships in segments the larger brands do not prioritize.
Presence matters unevenly by region. With 34.2% of 2025 revenue in North America and 31.6% in Europe, a supplier's coverage of those two decides most of its addressable base before any product question arises.

Research approach
A market size is a claim about the world, and a claim is only as good as the route to it. Every study is built upward from units and prices — what is actually produced, sold or performed, at what it actually changes hands for — rather than from a headline figure divided downwards. Disclosed company revenue is then used to check that build, not to produce it.
The estimate is built upward from unit shipments of touchscreen-compatible gloves across retail and specialty channels, paired with average realized selling prices set separately for single layered and double layered constructions. Shipment volumes are derived from cold-weather accessory production and import data, since gloves with conductive fingertips are not tracked as a distinct customs line in most markets. Price bands reflect the real premium double layered and insulated designs command at retail. This unit-times-price build is then checked against revenue disclosed by publicly reporting outdoor and sportswear companies carrying a glove line. Where the two diverge, the unit volume or price assumption feeding the bottom-up build is corrected, not averaged against the disclosed figure.
The four stages
The same sequence runs behind every published study, whatever the industry. The order matters as much as the steps: the segment axes are fixed before any number is collected, so the model is never reshaped to fit whatever data happens to turn up.
What the build rests on, and what checks it
The two are not interchangeable. The left column produces the number; the right column tests it. When the check disagrees with the build, the answer is to find which bottom-up assumption is wrong — a unit count, a price, a take-up rate — not to split the difference between them.
- Volume actually transacted — units produced, installed, dispensed or procedures performed, counted at the level each is genuinely recorded
- Realised pricing by tier and channel, rather than one blended average applied across the whole market
- Take-up and frequency: how much of the addressable base buys, and how often it repeats
- Disclosed revenue of the companies serving the market, where filings separate it far enough to be usable
- Buyer-side spending totals — capital budgets, procurement lines, or the output of the end market the product is bought against
- Trade and customs flows, where the product crosses borders in a separately recorded form
Data sources
Published data establishes what happened. Only the people transacting in a market can say why, and what is about to change — so the two are collected separately and weighted differently.
- Commercial and product leadership at the companies that supply the market
- Procurement and specification leads at the organisations that buy it
- Distributors, integrators and channel partners, where the market is served indirectly
- Regulatory and standards specialists, where approval governs what can be sold at all
- Company filings, annual reports and investor disclosure
- Government statistics, customs records and regulatory registers
- Trade association output and standards-body publications
- Technical and peer-reviewed literature, where the market rests on a clinical or engineering claim
Primary interviews target commercial and product managers at outdoor apparel and accessory brands, buyers and category managers at sporting goods and online retailers, and sourcing managers at glove manufacturers and conductive textile suppliers who set unit costs and minimum order quantities. Distribution and e-commerce channel leads are included given how much of this market now sells direct to consumer online rather than through physical stores. Sampling emphasizes North America and Europe, where branded touchscreen glove lines are most established and interview access to commercial decision-makers is strongest, supplemented by conversations with sourcing contacts in East Asia, where much of the underlying conductive fingertip material and finished glove manufacturing takes place.
Desk research draws on national trade statistics for knitted and woven glove imports and exports under the relevant apparel accessory tariff codes, since no dedicated touchscreen glove code exists. Retailer and marketplace listings across major sporting goods, outdoor and e-commerce platforms are used to benchmark retail pricing by material and construction. Public filings and investor materials from outdoor and sportswear companies with a disclosed accessories or gloves category provide revenue anchors for the top-down check. Trade association output from apparel and textile industry bodies covering cold-weather accessory demand supplements the volume estimates where customs data alone is too coarse to separate glove types.
Desk research runs across proprietary research databases including Factiva, OneSource and Hoovers alongside the public sources above. Modelling and statistical validation are run in SAS and SPSS.
Forecasting
The forecast is not a growth rate applied to a base year. It is built from the drivers that are expected to change, each one stated so a reader can disagree with it.
The forecast is built from expected growth in cold-climate outdoor recreation participation, continued replacement of plain winter gloves with touchscreen-compatible versions as smartphone use during commuting and outdoor activity becomes the norm, and the shift of purchases toward online channels that carry a wider range of touchscreen-specific products than physical stores typically stock. Pricing is assumed to hold flat in real terms for single layered gloves and to rise modestly for double layered and insulated constructions as material costs are passed through. The forecast normalizes for the unusually strong pandemic-era home delivery and outdoor activity spike in 2020 and 2021, treating that period as a temporary demand pull-forward rather than a new baseline.
Triangulation and validation
No figure enters a report on the strength of one source. Where the two sizing routes disagree the difference is not averaged away — the assumption causing it is isolated, tested against a third independent measure, and either corrected or carried forward as a stated limitation. Historical years are back-tested against the growth actually recorded before any forecast is allowed to run forward from them.
Outputs are back-tested against recorded shipment and retail sales growth for the cold-weather glove category over the historical period, checking that the modeled 2020-2024 path is consistent with observed apparel accessory volume trends. Segment-level shifts, including the move toward double layered constructions and online channels, are reviewed against category buyers and product managers interviewed for this study to confirm the direction and pace match what they observe in orders and sell-through. Sensitivities are tested on the average selling price assumption for double layered gloves and on the pace of online channel share gain, since those two inputs move the forecast total the most.
Confidence and limitations
Where an estimate is firm and where it is not is stated rather than left to be inferred from the precision of the number.
Confidence is firmest in the type and channel splits, where retail listings and shipment data give a reasonably clear read on single versus double layered mix and the pace of online share gain. It is weaker in the end use and material splits, where touchscreen gloves are rarely reported as a distinct line by manufacturers or retailers and adjacent apparel category analogues are used instead. A structural risk to the forecast is a shift in smartphone touch technology that reduces the need for dedicated conductive fingertips, which would require revising the underlying demand assumption rather than the growth rate.
