Customer FAQ
Common questions about samples, licensing, delivery and refunds. If yours isn't here, ask us directly.
12 questions, grouped by what they are about.
Before you buy
Can I see the report before I buy it?
Yes. Published reports offer a free sample — a real extract of the study showing the segmentation, regional coverage and depth of analysis, not a brochure. Request one from any report page in the catalogue. Where a sample is not yet available for a report, the same form registers your interest and we will send it as soon as it is.
What licence do I need?
It depends on how many people need access. Excel Only, Single User, Multi User, Enterprise User, Quick Intelligence are the available tiers, and each report page lists them with their access limits and inclusions. In short: a single named reader needs Single User, a team of up to six needs Multi User, and organisation-wide access needs Enterprise. Choosing a licence smaller than your actual readership is the one mistake worth avoiding — upgrading later costs more than buying the right tier first.
Can the report be customised to my requirements?
Yes. Licences include between 30 and 60 hours of free customisation depending on the tier, and every report carries an entitlement to 10% customisation against the markets covered in that report. The complexity of the request and the time it takes are assessed by the analyst, whose judgement is final. Use the Customise Report form on any report page, or scope a fully custom study if the question sits outside an existing report.
Can I speak to the analyst who wrote the report?
Yes — analyst support is included with every licence, for two to twelve months after purchase depending on the tier, and the higher tiers include direct call and email access to the analyst team. Before buying, use the Speak to Analyst form on any report page.
Ordering and delivery
How quickly will I receive the report?
Within 24 business hours of payment being confirmed for a digital delivery. Where delivery follows bank confirmation, allow 3-5 business days — that is the maximum, and most reports arrive well before it. Customised studies depend on the scope agreed. Full detail on the delivery formats page.
What format is the report delivered in?
PDF, with the quantitative data as an Excel workbook on the licences that include it. We do not deliver PowerPoint or Word versions — see delivery formats for exactly what each licence includes.
How do I pay?
We confirm your order and email an invoice with payment instructions. There is no card checkout on this site, and you will never be asked to enter card details into a form here — if you are ever prompted to, it is not us. See how to order.
Can I cancel or get a refund?
No. Because reports are delivered electronically and can be copied freely once sent, CDI operates a strict no-refund, no-cancellation policy, and orders cannot be cancelled after the report has been delivered. Please read the refund policy in full before ordering. If you believe you have been charged more than once, contact us with the payment details — duplicate payments are resolved with a coupon code or a licence upgrade, not a refund.
The research, and your data
How current is the data?
Each report page states its base year, historical period and forecast period explicitly, in the Report Scope section. Check those dates before you buy: they tell you exactly how current a study is, which a publication date on its own does not.
How are the estimates produced?
Every market is built from the bottom up — unit volumes and realised prices, segment by segment. That build is then checked against the disclosed revenue of the companies serving the market, and where the two disagree the bottom-up assumption causing it is corrected rather than split down the middle. Primary interviews test both. The full process is on the methodology page, and each report carries a market-specific version on its own Methodology tab.
What happens to the data I submit?
It is used to respond to your request and, where you have consented, to send you information about relevant research. Full detail — including your rights under GDPR and CCPA and how to exercise them — is in the privacy policy. Data-protection questions go to admin@contrivedatuminsights.com.
Which law governs my purchase?
The laws of India. See the terms and conditions.
